More than one hundred thousand people died last year due to prescription drug complications.

"Accidental death from prescription drugs, even when they are correctly given, is now the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S.Before you pop another prescription pill, think carefully. Just because your doctor prescribed it is no guarantee you’ll benefit from it or even emerge unscathed from the experience. That prescription pill could be hazardous to your health - and life." From Alternative Medicine Magazine, Issue #25

So what can you do?
BE INFORMED.

Make your doctor take the time to explain the potential advantages and side effects of the therapies he or she recommends. Do you have to take this drug, or can you wait? Are there natural alternatives? Your doctor may not know, but a Google search and half an hour of research can yield all the information you need to make an informed decision.

Always look prescription drugs up at
www.Mayo.com to see what potential side effects are associated with them. Remember that more than 100,000 people die each year in the US, due to pharmaceutical drug side effects. Become an informed consumer. If your doctor doesn't want to take the time to explain their recommended therapy, both the pros and the cons, then you must take the time to do some research yourself.

When it comes to prescription drugs, ignorance is not bliss. There is no excuse these days for not being informed. It is too easy to go online and google,
natural solutions for: and insert your issue and see if there are natural options. If you do not look up the side effects of a recommended drug, and if you do not look up natural alternatives, then you have no one to blame but yourself for the end results.

In addition to the fact that 100,000 die yearly from pharmaceutical drug side effects, another 100,000 plus people are hosptialized and more than 16,500 people die each year from stomach bleeding caused by NSAIDS? That is tragic on its own, but when you know that there are natural alternatives like Serrapeptase that have been laboratory proven to work better than NSAIDS, without the side efffects, it becomes even more heart wrenching. (Singh Gurkirpal, MD, "Recent Considerations in Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug Gastropathy", The American Journal of Medicine, July 27, 1998, p. 31S) Now remember that this is just ONE drug. Imagine all the many drugs there are, and consider what the numbers might be of all the people being hospitalized for negative drug responses. It is astronomical.

The good news is, it is easy to be informed. Right now do a google search with these words:
natural alternative to NSAIDS and see what comes up. You will find more than enough information to make a wise choice. You can do this with any medication, or condition. Try: natural solutions for gout and see what happens. Being informed is very easy these days. A simple google search can literally save your life, or the life of someone you love.

You can actually learn more about an issue than your doctor knows. Why? Because doctors are often too busy to read medical reports. Case in point. I was reading up on a site called www.garlic.mistral.co.uk. In the process of reading on garlic, I found an article that said that scientists had found that garlic was extremely effective against MRSA. Now that is a big deal. MRSA kills more people yearly than HIV/AIDS does, yet it is easily cureable with garlic.

Shortly after reading this, this information was put to the test in my life. I got a call from a woman who was covered in MRSA from ankles to head, with only her face and feet uninvolved. She was in seriously bad shape. I shared the garlic info with her and after considering her options she decided to ingest crushed raw garlic in high dose. She did 24 cloves a day, spread out throughout the day, and immediately began to get relief. Within months, she was totally free of all signs of MRSA, which her doctors had been unable to help her with. Why were they unable? Why could she do this natural treatment and save her own life, when her well-paid, highly educated doctors could not help her? It is simple, they are trained in pharmaceuticals and are essentially pharmaceutical representatives and have no training in natural healing options.

Even though there are multitudes of medical researchers repeatedly proving natural products to be superior to pharmaceuticals, medical doctors rarely if ever see those reports, or read their papers. So, if you desire to help yourself heal, and you want to use natural products to do so, you will have to be your own patient advocate and do some research yourself and remember that you are responsible for your own health. If you take prescriptions drugs, with known side effects and you experience those side effects, even though there are natural options out there without side effects, then it is not your doctors fault.

Keep in mind also, that there were zero deaths last year due to natural supplements of any kind. NONE! Not from B Vitamins, or C, or D, or E, or minerals, or herbs, or homeopathics, etc.( Bronstein AC, Spyker DA, Cantilena LR Jr, Green JL, Rumack BH, Giffin SL. 2008 Annual Report of the American Association of Poison Control Centers' National Poison Data System (NPDS): 26th Annual Report. Clinical Toxicology (2009). 47, 911-1084.)

On the contrary,
multitudes of people have seen their health restored using natural supplements like herbs, and natural foods like garlic. It doesn't take alot of common sense to understand that these products exist because our bodies were designed to run on them. Imagine eating prescription drugs exlusively and staying alive for very long. It would be impossible as they are not living foods which can nourish or heal the body in any way. On the other hand, if you were to eat natural things like herbs and garlic and colostrum and bee pollen, etc. you could live and do well.

As a Christian, I believe we were designed, and that this planet was designed to contain everything we need to be healthy. The good news is that since the day of creation, people have been seeking natural solutions and many have found them and have gone on to share their knowledge with others, and that knowledge is readily available. A huge amount of it is free for the taking by simply getting on line and reading.

There are places where allopathic medicine shines: Seperating conjoined twins, reconnecting severed limbs, diagnosing internal growths, etc. What is being done is heart warming and worthy of great respect and celebration. However, when it comes to simple health challenges like diabetes, MRSA, arthritis and cholesterol, even the government says diet - the natural route - is the answer. Check out this quote from
Dr. Beveryly Winikoff, one of the doctors who worked on The Dietary Goals For The United State, which is a government publication.

"There is a widespread and unfounded confidence in the ablility of medical science to cure or mitigate the effects of such diseases (top killers like heart disease, cancer, diabetes) once they occur. Appropriate public education must emphasize the unfortunate but clear limitations of current medical practice in curing the common killer diseases. Once hypertension, diabetes, arteriosclerosis or heart disease are manifest, there is, in realty, very little that medical science can do to return a patient to normal physiological function."

Fortunately we do have other options and there is a great deal that an informed individual can do to help themselves heal through natural means. I have seen great numbers of people self-treat with excellent results. Even if you go to a natural health practitoner, you need to be well-informed about your own natural options. I regularly find out about natural products that I had no prior knowledge of from clients who have educated themselves and found answers for themselves and others they love.

In my opinion, anyone who goes to a doctor and blindly does what their doctor tells them to do is unwise. Lawyers are making money, daily, by suing pharmaceutical companies on behalf of people who didn't do due diligence and have had their health destroyed by drugs. Money is good, but health is better.

Please
BE INFORMED.
